Send Out to the Manufacturer (OTM)
At times, your unit may need additional work that can only be done at the manufacturer. In cases like this, we pick up the shipping charges to and from the manufacturer. We contact you immediately once the manufacturer provides the proper estimate for your device. An estimate can take about 7-10 business days. If you approve the service charges, it may take up to 14-21 business days to complete services. That time includes service plus double inspection from both the manufacturer as well as our facility. We contact you by email with a tracking number once your unit ships back to you. Just like at United Camera, OTM units can be subject to a re-estimate. If a unit is ever re-estimated, we contact you immediately, as we would when the unit was originally estimated. We have accounts with most manufacturers and have the ability to have your unit be made a priority over you sending your unit directly to the manufacturer.
Hold for Parts
We have a huge amount of inventory, and from time to time, it may be possible we may be out of stock of certain parts. If your unit is on hold for parts, we notify you immediately, update you as soon as we receive the part(s) and proceed with approved services. We expedite all ordered parts to complete services on time!
Warranties / VOID Warranties
If your unit is under warranty, we will need a copy of the original receipt (proof of purchase / date purchased). We require a copy of your receipt to have your unit warranty ready for our facility. If your unit had been dropped and broken, or got wet at all, this VOIDS ALL warranties. If you choose to have your unit serviced, you are responsible for any repair costs. Call us at 866.488.8227
and we would be happy to answer any of your questions.

Disposal / Recycle
We understand that it might not make economic sense to repair your device, and you may prefer to dispose of it or recycle it instead. Give us a call at 866.488.8227 or email us at email@example.com with your name and shipping address, and tell us the make, model and condition of your device. If approved, we will send you a prepaid disposal kit so you can send the device to us for recycling. We care about the environment too, which is why we do not want old electronics to end up in landfills. United Camera works with many charitable organizations, such as the American Red Cross and local schools, that need gently-used and refurbished devices. Or, if some parts cannot be salvaged, we send the recyclables to a special recycler who will properly dispose of them while adhering to all governmental regulations.
