Troubleshooting
If you are still having problems after you receive
your unit, please check out these troubleshooting tips:
Batteries - Improper battery type
and installation is common with digital cameras and can lead to
limited power charge or failure to power up.
Recommeded Batteries - If your camera came with a proprietary
battery from the manufacturer, we recommend the use of the manufacturer's
batteries.
If your camera uses AA batteries:
- First option: AA NIMH rechargeable batteries
- Second option: AA Lithium batteries
Installation - Many proprietary batteries
can accidentally be installed backwards or upside down. This will
result in the camera's failure to power up. Refer to your operation
manual for proper installation or try to reverse the battery to
receive power.
Memory Cards - In addition to
your camera's internal memory, digital cameras have the ability
to store images on a memory card. It's important to use your memory
card exclusively with your camera and not interchange them. Using
the same card with multiple cameras can cause the memory card
to malfunction.
Formatting - Most memory cards
are formatted by your computer automatically upon first use. If
you are having problems with your memory card, it may need to
be re-formatted by using a few steps on your computer. To get
help walking you through the formatting process, please refer
to our 'formatting
memory cards' section in the FAQ
section of our website.
