About Us
United Camera
was founded in 1969 in a small 500 square-foot shop in Chicago
by Frank Sciacca. Frank was an engineer at heart and He dedicated
his passion to build a business with the core principle of providing
a 'Better Repair Experience.'
This 'experience' meant investing in the
best people and equipment so they could get their customer's
cameras back quickly and fixed correctly the FIRST time. Frank
knew that nothing soured a repair experience more than a long,
slow process or having to bring the camera back a second time.
In the 90's, Frank anticipated the industries
inevitable evolution from conventional film to digital and prepared
his team for the future. This allowed United Camera to continue
its growth while many other companies struggled.

Today, United Camera has grown into one of the
largest repair providers in the country fixing more than 150,000 digital
cameras, projectors, binoculars, and lenses each year.
