DSLR/Lens Technicians
We are looking to expand our highly qualified, experienced DSLR camera and lens repair technical staff. The position is located at our service center in Bensenville, Illinois. United Camera offers full benefits including 401k, health, dental and long term disability.
Job Description: Able to repair DSLR cameras and lenses, resolve product and service problems and deliver a superior customer experience.
Duties:
- Calibrate and verify the accuracy of light meters, shutter diaphragms and lens carriers using technical instruments
- Using hand tools, must be able to disassemble equipment to gain access to the problem
- Using hand tools, must be able to adjust cameras, photographic mechanisms and equipment such as view finders, shutters, light meters and lens systems
- Clean and lubricate cameras and polish lenses using cleaning materials and work aids
- Using measuring instruments, be able to verify specified dimensions or settings of parts such as camera shutter speed and light meter reading accuracy
- Using precision gauges, be able to test performance of lens focus, diaphragm alignment, lens mount and film transport
- Examine cameras, equipment, processed film and laboratory reports to diagnose malfunctions
- Requisition parts and materials
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, instructions and specifications to determine needed repairs, fabrication method and operation sequence
Qualifications:
- Repair experience for one or more of the following DSLR camera manufacturers: Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax, Olympus and Fujifilm
- Repair experience for one or more of the following camera lens manufacturers: Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax, Tamron, Promaster, Sigma, Vivitar, Minolta, Cosina, Tokina, Hasselblad, Phoenix and Contax/Yashica
- Repair experience on medium format cameras from manufacturers like Hasselblad, Pentax, Bronica and Rollei
- Must possess product knowledge, market knowledge, problem solving abilities, documentation skills, customers service skills and phone skills

Customer Service/Order Entry/Receptionist
We are looking to expand our energetic and fast paced customer service staff with full and/or part time coworkers.
Job Description: Order entry functions in addition to interacting with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products and services.
Duties:
· Deal directly with customers either by telephone, electronically or face to face
· Respond promptly to customer inquiries
· Handle and resolve customer complaints
· Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints
· Process orders, forms, applications and requests
· Keep records of customer interactions and transactions
· Record details of inquiries, comments and complaints
· Record details of actions taken
· Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
· Follow up on customer interactions
Education and Experience:
